How do I know when it’s time to consider euthanasia?
We understand how hard it may be to consider euthanizing your loyal companion. As loving pet owners ourselves, we are here to help guide you through this difficult time so you feel supported and informed to make the best decision for you and your loved one. Some factors you may consider when making this difficult decision are:
- Your pet’s unique health situation
- Your pet’s age
- Can their medication continue to alleviate their chronic pain
- Were they diagnosed with a terminal disease
- Is their quality of life affected
Is the procedure painful for my pet?
The procedure is generally painless and quick. It is important to us that your pet is as comfortable as possible. They may feel a slight pinch from the needle as we inject a high dose of medicine which will cause their organs to stop working, allowing them to fall asleep peacefully. After the procedure, we will give you as much time as you need with your loved one to say your goodbyes.
